Hi, I'm currently on a trial licence using KAV7.0.1.325. I'm about 2/3 through the 30-day period and am seriously considering buying a full licence and activate it. Thing is, I've read around and it seems KAV2009 might be out in the near future. If it comes out after I buy KAV7 would I have to buy the licence again? ![]() If so maybe it's better to wait. Or, if I download KAV2009 now (although the English sites officially don't have it I found a link in this forum), would I be able to buy that version at the end of the period if it turns out to be just as good or better? EDIT: Did more digging and it seems this is a pretty silly question Edited June 19, 2008 by fiish. Yes, upgrading is free and it will be out in the UK around the 1th of juli, but you can install it now if you wish (i would): Download either: The suite.( or for those that is interested in KAV ), the updated removaltool you can find here:, please download that as well as it is very nice to be able to boot into safemode in a tight spot and run the tool. You should use the tool to remove version 7.0 completely before installing 2009. Remember that you need the activationcode/keyfile for when you then install 2009. Download Kaspersky Internet Security 7 Activation code kaspersky internet security 7.0. 325 Activation Code torrent or any other torrent from the Applications. I just installed KAV2009 in place of KAV7 and, well I'm not noticing it's presence (which I think is a good thing for security software ). ![]() The system sluggishness that I sometimes experienced with KAV7 seems to be gone as well. Now perhaps I should take advantage of this month's 50% discount offer Just curious: is the same trial licence used for KAV and KIS? I've been hearing very good things about KIS's firewall and am thinking of trying that out too. Fiish its my experience that retailers will be selling of Kaspersky 7 products at reduced prices. A genuine boxed copy of KIS 7 bought now at a reduced price is essentially a licence key for any current version including KIS 2009. A quick Google has shown UK prices of £10-99 OEM £24-74 retail 3 User version for £15-44. Retailers don't want old products on their shelves. Buy cheap genuine KIS 7 download and install KIS 2009 use KIS 7 key to activate and you have twelve months of the best security on your machine. Keep an eye out in 10 months for a cheap renewal licence. I've read somewhere (probably here in the forum) that the licenses from a multi-user pack have to be activated within one month after the first activation, otherwise the validity period will be reduced accordingly (i.e. If you wait 2 months after the 1st activation, the validity period will only be 11 months). How do these multi-user licenses work: do you get 3 different activation codes, or can you generate 3 different keyfiles from one activation code, or do you get one key file and the server somehow checks (via a HW ID, say) that it's only used on 3 PCs? Abstract The genome of the autonomous parvovirus minute virus of mice (MVM) is organized in two overlapping transcription units: the genes coding for the two non-structural proteins (NS-1 and NS-2) are transcribed from a promoter (P04) located at map unit 4, whereas the promoter controlling the capsid protein genes (P39) lies at map unit 39. We studied the effect of viral proteins on the activity of the P39 promoter in vivo. By sitedirected mutagenesis we constructed clones encoding only one of the two NS proteins. The activity of the P39 promoter was measured in HeLa or EL-4 cells transfected with these clones, either by an RNase protection assay or by following the expression of a reporter gene, CAT (which codes for chloramphenicol acetyltransferase), placed under the control of this promoter. We found that the P39 promoter of strain MVMi is activated in trans by a viral gene product, and evidence to suggest that NS-1 is the only viral gene product responsible for this trans-activation. We also determined that the mechanism of trans-activation is very rapid, since all species of viral mRNAs appear together in non-synchronized infected EL-4 cells within a 2 h interval.
